The stripes show that the pillow can be moved from side to side. The caregiver can easily move the user's head from side to side without lifting and without the risk for the pillow to slip away. The pillow can also be turned 90 degrees, be placed under the shoulder and head to get help from the pillow to move higher up in bed.
